TDH > Cars
The hero in my stories is always TDH (tall, dark and handsome) and exceptionally rich. In one of my stories, I have done a bit of research to see what kind of car best suit him.
At one time I was debating if I should go for luxury, classic or high performance. In the end I have chosen a silver blue Bentley Continental GTC (not the one in the photo though) for him and I even had a steamy scene set in there.
I still remember one of the readers commented Bentley would be too small for such activity. Talking about people with special knowledge!
What car do you see your modern hero driving?

A black Jaguar XKR-S...fast, sleek and sexy.

Hmm... I think Jeeps are kind of sexy. Anything with the top down!
ReplyDeleteSmall sportscars are *NOT* very amenable to intimate shenanigans. Maybe to get things started, but you really don't have a lot of room to manoeuvre and the bucket-type seats are very confining!
ReplyDeleteJaguar is quite roomy but seems a bit old to me. Jeep and sexy? Never thought of it that way. K.A. you are right, sports cars are just for the speed...
ReplyDeleteThe hero in my upcoming novel, Detective Snoop, is right up your alley. TDH, and he drives a black Hummer H2.
ReplyDeleteThe Old Silly from Free Spirit Blog
In my book, the protagonist drove a 10 year old green Mercury Comet, with signficant dents, old news papers tossed in the back seat, and, coke cans rolling around on the floor boards. BTW, in the end, he didn't get the girl....well, he did, but, not forever.

Hummer, I don't think it's available in Australia. Need to see a pic. Galen, poor chap, but I guess we need some heros who look like human from time to time.
