Mr. Darcy,
I overheard that my daughter, Elizabeth, has refused your proposal. Such a stubborn girl! Forget about her, Sir. I now invite you back to Hertfordshire to choose one other of my more grateful girls.
If you need my advice, Jane is pretty but too sedate. Mary is boring and plain. Kitty coughs too much and is quite annoying. I recommend Lydia. She is lively, handsome and the tallest. She may not have liked you before, but she is determined to be the first to marry. Fine carriages and a lot of pin money are most appealing to her. Do come back quickly, else I fear the Militia shall carry her off to Brighton!
I remain, at your service
